Team notes
Steelheads skid
The Steelheads suffered their fourth consecutive loss last Friday at Allen, dropping all four games across the last two weeks against the Americans. The Steelheads now sit at 3-2-1-0 heading into this week's action against Rapid City, chasing their first win since opening weekend. Idaho has been outscored 16-8 over its four-game losing streak.
Season debuts
Last weekend saw three Steelheads make their season debut, as forwards Luke Mylymok and Jens Richards played in both games against Allen, as well as defenseman John Driscoll, who made his ECHL debut on Thursday. The Steelheads have worked several reserve players into the fold this season, with Grant Silianoff serving as the only rostered player to have not appeared in the regular season as he recovers from an injury sustained in the preseason.
Momentum shifters
Of the seven goals that the Steelheads allowed last week in Allen, four were scored in either the first or last minute of their respective period. On Thursday, Riley Kidney and Miko Matikka bookended the third period with an early and late tally in the frame, while on Friday Kidney struck 51 seconds into the middle frame and Matikka scored with 42 seconds left in that same period, providing major momentum shifts for the Americans over last week's action.

- Idaho was outshot 27-6 over the third period in last week's two games.
