RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's soccer team has secured the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 seed Gardner-Webb in the first round of the Big South Tournament on Thursday, November 5, at 7 p.m., the conference announced this afternoon.
Entry into Thursday's game is free for all fans.
The conference tournament returns to Cupp Stadium for the first time since 2024. The Highlanders welcome Gardner-Webb to the New River Valley for the second time this season after taking care of the Runnin' Bulldogs 2-0 in a senior day win back on October 10. Radford has not lost to Gardner-Webb in each of the past six meetings, which includes a conference championship win back in 2022.
Head Coach Ben Sohrabi enters this year's tournament with a 30-18-5 record, best among active conference coaches. Thursday is just the 10th time the Highlanders have hosted a postseason tournament match and just the third since the spring 2021 season.
The winner of Thursday's match will face the regular season conference champion, USC Upstate, on Tuesday, November 10 in Spartanburg, S.C., at a time to be determined.
