A two-car collision Thursday afternoon on Airport Road sent two people to the hospital for treatment of minor injures.

Albany police responded to the crash at 1:48 p.m. in the 400 block of Airport Road, just outside Kohls department store.

Officers said Joshua Story, 24, of Albany was traveling north on Airport in a Dodge Neon trying to make a left turn into parking lot for Carl's Jr. Joseph Hergert, 41, of Lebanon was headed south on Airport in a Toyota RAV4. His vehicle collided with Story's.

The impact caused the RAV4 to make a complete rollover and land back on its wheels. The Neon spun and went back up over a curb and into the brush.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Both were transported to Samaritan Albany General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Story was cited for making a dangerous left turn.

Airport Road was closed for about an hour during the investigation.
