MONROE — The Monroe High girls basketball team bounced back from a loss at Oakland on Friday with a 59-35 home win over Lowell in a Central Valley Conference game on Saturday.
The Dragons (19-3, 11-1) stayed in a tie with Oakland for first place. Monroe hosts third-place Central Linn on Tuesday.
Central Linn 65, Oakridge 10
HALSEY — The Cobras closed out the home portion of the regular season with a win. Central Linn has now won five straight since losing three of four.
Colleen McLaughlin had 19 points and Abby Stutzman added eight points and 11 rebounds for Central Linn.
The Cobras (19-4, 9-3) are at CVC co-leader Monroe on Tuesday.
Jefferson 29, ELCA 26
LEBANON — The Lions won the defensive battle in the CVC road game.
Jefferson (6-14, 3-9) has won two straight and will host Oakland on Tuesday.
The Eagles (11-11, 5-7) will look to end a four-game slide at Oakridge on Tuesday.
LEBANON — The Jefferson boys basketball team kept pace with first-place Oakland and set up a showdown with the Oakers on Tuesday with a 48-38 Central Valley Conference road win over East Linn Christian.
The Lions were down three heading to the fourth quarter but rallied for the win.
Jayden Erikson led the way with 14 points while Diego Rodriguez and Leon Romo Jr. both added 10.
The Lions (13-6, 10-2) will host Oakland (11-1 CVC) to try to force a tie atop the standings.
ELCA (11-11, 6-6) has lost two straight and is at Oakridge on Tuesday.
Central Linn 75, Oakridge 55
HALSEY — The Cobras won their fourth straight and improved to 8-4 in CVC play and moved two games ahead of fourth place East Linn Christian.
Central Linn (14-8) plays its last two regular-season games on the road, beginning Tuesday at Monroe.

MONROE — The Dragons cruised to the CVC home win. Monroe (10-12, 5-7) hosts Central Linn on Tuesday.
