Corvallis senior Edgar Monroy, working against Churchill in Wednesday's playoff game, was named the Mid-Willamette Conference boys soccer player of the year.

Corvallis senior forward Edgar Monroy is the Mid-Willamette Conference boys soccer player of the year.

Area players also on the all-conference first team are Corvallis’ Jonah Craig and Spencer Vingelen, West Albany’s Zachary Reese, Kyle Jensen and Eli Podrabsky (goalkeeper), South Albany’s Carlos Reyes-Aviles and Crescent Valley’s Mattin Khoshzaban.

Corvallis’ Chad Foley is the coach of the year.
