Santiam Christian 55, Blanchet Catholic 46

The Eagles came alive in the fourth quarter to pick up a win at home against Blanchet Catholic.

Rebeka Preston had 20 points and Jocelyn Porath wasn't far behind adding 16 points.

SC (2-1) returns home next Tuesday to take on Scio. 

Central Linn 38, Chiloquin 30

Central Linn pulled away in the fourth quarter for the win in the Lost River

Running Raider tournament.

The Cobras (4-1) were smaller and coach Marcus Campbell switched to man defense.

"We told the girls we've got to make this a faster pace and wear them out," Campbell said.

The plan worked. Central Linn forced 24 turnovers and hit 8 of 11 free throws in the fourth.

Kasey McLaughlin had 15 points and seven rebounds for the Cobras, who play in the championship game on Saturday.

McNary 61, West Albany 30

West Albany lost its Greater Valley Conference opener at McNary to fall to 1-3 overall.

The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday when they play at Roseburg. 

Toledo 36, Sweet Home 28

Sweet Home fell to 2-3 with the home loss. The Huskies play at Estacada on Thursday.

Santiam 37, Jefferson 34

The Lions dropped the tough game on the road. Jefferson (0-4) is at Waldport on Tuesday.
