PENDLETON — The Linn-Benton Community College baseball team scored 23 runs on 23 hits in sweeping a doubleheader at Blue Mountain Community College on Sunday to take four games on its weekend road trip.

LB won the opener 12-1 and the second seven-inning game 11-1.

In the opener, the Roadrunners pounded out 16 hits and scored two in the third and four in the fourth to break the game open.

Chase Cosner had three hits, three runs scored and one RBI, DeQuahn Dennis-Lee two hits, three runs scored and two RBIs, Damon Peters three hits, two runs scored and two RBIs, Joshua Congdon two hits and three RBIs and Tate Cowden three hits.

In the nightcap, the Roadrunners broke open a scoreless game through three innings with four in the fourth and four in the fifth.

Cosner had two hits and two RBIs, Cole Carder two hits and three runs scored and Cowden and Shawn Rigsby both had two RBIs in the win.

LB (9-1) will host Walla Walla for an 11 a.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
