CORVALLIS - Oregon State football player John Braun, 20, was cited for hosting a party for minors earlier this month, according to the Corvallis Police Department.
Officers responded to a complaint about a loud party at the defensive end's home at 11:16 p.m. last Saturday night. They discovered both his roommates, 19, were drinking and were not cited.
One roommate, offensive lineman Tyler Thomas, was later cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol after he used a fake ID to get into the Harrison Street Bar and Grill at 1:16 a.m.
Both Braun and Thomas are redshirt freshmen, and have yet to play a down. Braun is a West Albany High alum. Thomas is from Kalispell, Mont.
"We are dealing with that internally," coach Mike Riley said. "I've spoken with them. I don't know yet about any team ramifications. They have been disciplined at this point, but no suspension has been issued at this point."
