    Oregon State steeplechasers Grace Fetherstonhaugh and Kaylee Mitchell will take their first steps toward the NCAA steeplechase finals on Thursday when each competes in her preliminary heat at the NCAA Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene.

    The Oregon State women's track and field team capped competition at the UW Indoor Preview, hosted by the University of Washington, with two event wins on Saturday. Senior Emma Nelson landed first in the high jump while redshirt senior Keely McLaughlin cliched first in the shot put.

    Oregon State's Kaylee Mitchell finished 32nd in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials on Sunday night at Hayward Field in Eugene.
