Secretary of State Dennis Richardson wants unaffiliated voters with a range of disparate views to have their own primary. Which begs the question: Why do people choose to be unaffiliated? Why do these unaffiliated voters then lean towards one of the major parties in the general election? Has he done any research as to whether enough unaffiliated voters would want their own primary?
Just because someone thinks it’s a good idea doesn’t necessarily make it so. I’m an unaffiliated voter and just asking.
