The Democrat-Herald this week proved that it is willing to put sensationalism above doing the right thing and selling newspapers above basic decency.
Last week two lives were taken senselessly in a completely despicable act in Lebanon. Instead of caring about those trying to pick up the pieces and lay their loved ones to rest, the Democrat-Herald chose to throw out for all to see the terrible details of this crime, details that nobody but those the closest needed to know.
But that was not enough damage, when the daughter of the deceased contacted the editor to protest, the editor continued to dig for more information over the phone.
How desperate to sell newspapers are you? You are truly classless and this family deserves a front page apology.
I guess that is why your paper is dying a slow death.
