I read the negative review (Democrat-Herald, Feb. 26) of the Oscars in your paper about the choice of Green Book as best picture. Was it not chosen fairly by members of the Screen Actors Guild?
To judge a story that happened nearly 60 years ago by today's P.C. criteria is to demean history because it doesn't fit one's idea of what it should be. Those were the times. Like it or not.
Oscars used to be entertaining. Now it's a stage for politics and racism. How sad is that.
