Mr. Penrod, bless your heart. You want to be a likable guy, yet you want to censor a comic strip that is an American institution. While not a fan of Doonesbury, I am even less of a fan of name calling and censorship. Mr. Penrod, being called weak-minded is not going to earn you any warm fuzzies from letter writers. Better to let people be free to enjoy their morning funnies.
The DH has routinely asked for public opinion when contemplating changing the morning lineup, and I appreciate their democratic approach. If any change is contemplated in the future, I would ask that "Bloom County" be brought back for an encore appearance, so we can revel, once again, with Opus in his glory as he reminds us, of the havoc caused when we fall prey to the evils of "offensensitivity"!
