In this day of politics, we see divides everywhere we look. So when I see someone like Shelly Boshart Davis running for political office, I have hope. The quote “all politics is local,” for me, rings true. Shelly is someone you can disagree with on something and still work together on items that mutually benefit us. Isn’t that what we want for all of America? I still believe more unites us then divides us. Shelly does, too.
I am part of a trucking family in Albany and have recently been more and more involved in policy issues surrounding transportation as well as promoting the importance of the trucking industry while supporting our truck drivers and their families. Shelly has been a partner in this, doing the same in her business.
For us, we see the daily hard work it takes to be a truck driver, and we value each and every one of them trying to support them in every way we can. So it’s hard to swallow the constant unnecessary regulations we are faced with year after year. Increasing the cost of doing business in this state forces us to spend more on paperwork and weight-mile taxes than being able to offer higher wages, bonuses and benefits to our employees.
I know Shelly will work hard for businesses and working families alike. I urge you to join me in voting for Shelly Boshart Davis.
