Recently an artist showing her work at Albany City Hall experienced having her artwork mostly labeled “sold." The city didn’t collect from the “buyer" and the buyer never returned to pay and collect the work she or he was allowed to have labeled "sold."
Seems unfair that the public and artist were unable to buy or sell the artwork. Artists are generally treated as hobbyists and not recognized as pursuing a vocation which seldom pays a fair price for their efforts.
