In Albany we face unique challenges. As urban areas continue to grow, new and unprecedented problems arise. We, at the city council, try our best to deal with these issues and to serve the people of Albany. We need someone in the capitol that will do the same – advocate for common sense solutions to these issues and be a voice for our urban, as well as our rural, needs in District 15. That’s why I am voting for Shelly Boshart Davis for state representative.
Shelly’s a problem solver. She takes the time to listen to ensure the best solution is reached. Shelly understands that all politics are local and that to really understand the issues one must listen to all perspectives. Perhaps most importantly, Shelly has already proven herself a dedicated leader of her community. Whether it be her family business sponsoring local community events like the fair or sitting in the Linn County Budget Committee, she has exemplified important characteristics of a public servant: A willingness to sacrifice time and money to make her community a better place.
Politics is a crazy business. It is important that we elect leaders that are willing to do what is right for the community. For these reasons, I will be casting my vote for Shelly Boshart Davis for state representative in the next few days and I hope you will too.
