CORVALLIS POLICE

Assault — 7:45 p.m. Friday, 1400 block NW Monroe Avenue. An employee at the 7-Eleven reported that a man tried to bite someone in the store. When the employee tried to restrain the suspect, he reportedly bit her on the arm and wouldn’t let go until another person hit him in the face. The bite caused a severe injury on the employee’s forearm, a police report said. A responding officer arrested the man, Andrew Chadim, 51, a transient, and transported him to the hospital, where he reportedly tried to bite a nurse. Chadim was charged with second degree disorderly conduct, second-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree assault.

LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT

From Monday afternoon

Assault — Whitney Rene Montgomery, 33, of Lebanon, was charged with second-degree assault, first-degree criminal mischief and menacing. The crimes allegedly occurred on Saturday and were investigated by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. The deadly or dangerous weapon reportedly used wasn’t specified in the charging document.

Vehicle theft, heroin dealing — Clinton Orville Swearingen II, 36, of Albany, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and delivery and possession of heroin. The crimes allegedly occurred on Friday and were investigated by the Albany Police Department.

Vehicle theft — Israel Fausto Anaya, 24, of Albany, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. The crimes allegedly occurred on Saturday and the APD investigated the case.

Vehicle theft — Jay Boyd Marsh, 55, of Sweet Home, was charged with two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle. The crimes allegedly occurred on Friday and the LCSO investigated the case.

Stolen vehicle — Angel Rubio Ramirez, 24, of Albany, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. The crime allegedly occurred on Nov. 19 and was investigated by the APD. The prosecution has filed a notice to seek an enhanced sentence in the case.

ALBANY POLICE

Missing cash — 10 a.m. Thursday, 600 block 32nd Avenue SE. A caller reported the theft of a wallet and cash from his vehicle, sometime overnight.

Hit-and-run — Two hit-and-run incidents were reported Thursday: the first in the 1400 block of 32nd Avenue SE and the other in the 3000 block of Lyon St.

Stolen truck — Shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday, Albany Police and Linn County Sheriff’s Office deputies located a 1993 Toyota pickup that had been reported stolen overnight from the 3500 block of Hill St. SE. It was found in the 32000 block of Blackberry Lane, Tangent. Caden Comstock, 20, of Albany, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and lodged at the Linn County Jail.

LINN COUNTY SHERIFF

Missing plates — 3 p.m. Sunday, 28000 block Peoria Road, Halsey. A caller the theft of his vehicle's license plates as it was parked at Snag Boat Bend Park.

SWEET HOME POLICE

Stolen firearm — 5:35 p.m. Thursday, 200 block Mountain View Road. A caller reported the theft of a firearm valued at more than $500 from her mother's house.
