These NFL players are opting out of the 2020 season
See which players on each team are opting out of the 2020 season due to coronavirus concerns.
New England's Dont'a Hightower, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif of the Chiefs and C.J. Mosley of the Jets might be the biggest names, but over 60 players plan to sit out the 2020 NFL season.
Any player could opt out of the 2020 if they provided written notice to their team. Players who are considered high risk receive a stipend of $350,000 and accrue credit for the season for benefits and free agency. Players who aren't high risk and opt out voluntarily receive $150,000 and do not accrue credit for the season.
