Presidents' Day Weekend Closures (Feb. 16)

Monday is Presidents' Day. Here is a list of holiday schedules and closures:

Banks, credit unions: All will be closed Monday.

Buses: Albany Call-A-Ride, the Albany Transit System and the Linn-Benton Loop will operate Monday. The Corvallis Transit System and the Philomath Connection will run Monday. The Sweet Home Senior Center/Linn Shuttle will not run Monday.

Government: State government agencies will be closed Monday; federal offices of the Siuslaw National Forest and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency also will be closed. Benton County, Linn County, city of Corvallis and city of Philomath offices will be closed Monday. City of Albany offices will be open Monday.

Linn-Benton Community College: Closed Monday.

Liquor stores: All Albany liquor stores will be open Monday. The Brownsville Video and Liquor Store will be open Monday. Both liquor stores in Corvallis will be open Monday. The Lebanon Liquor Store will be open Monday. The Philomath Liquor Store will be closed Monday. The Scio Liquor Store will be open Monday. The Sweet Home Liquor Store will be closed Sunday and Monday.

Oregon State University: Open Monday.

Postal service: U.S. post offices will be closed Monday, and no deliveries will be made until Tuesday.

Public libraries: Both libraries in Albany will be closed Monday. The Lebanon Public Library will be closed Monday. The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library and all its branches will be closed Monday.

Public pools: The Albany Community Pool will be open Monday only from 1 to 3 p.m. for School's Out Swims. Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis will be open Monday, as will the Lebanon Community Pool will be open Monday.

Public schools: Some public schools will be closed Monday; check with your local district.

Senior centers: The Albany Senior Center will be open Monday. Corvallis and Lebanon senior centers will be closed Monday.

Trash and recycling pickup: Republic Services will operate regular routes Monday in both Albany and Corvallis.
