LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT
Vehicle theft, theft — From Tuesday afternoon. Dustin Duane Clark, 29, of Albany, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a burglary tool or theft device, and delivery and possession of methamphetamine. The crimes allegedly occurred on Sunday and Monday. The car that was stolen was a Honda Accord. In a separate case, Clark was charged with first-degree theft, second-degree theft, methamphetamine possession, two counts of identity theft, and possession of a burglary tool or theft device. Those crimes allegedly occurred on April 26 through May 1.
LINN COUNTY SHERIFF
Car versus bus — 3:43 p.m. Monday, Central Linn High School. A passenger vehicle rear-ended a school bus in the parking lot. There were no injuries and minor damage, and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
Cash theft — 10:33 a.m. Thursday, Bobo’s Eats & Grog, 1765 S. Main St. A man reported that he left about $1,600 in cash in an envelope at the bar the previous night and that someone took the envelope. A theft report was taken.
Rental scam — 3:24 p.m. Sunday, 900 block W. Rose Street. Someone had posted a "for rent" advertisement for a house in Lebanon, but was apparently not connected to the local company that manages the property. An officer advised the reporting party that the advertisement is a scam.
SWEET HOME POLICE
Vandalism — 4:38 p.m. Monday, 1000 block 43rd Avenue. A caller reported that his friend kicked the side of his car and dented it. Marty Allen McMahan, 44, was booked, cited and released on a charge of second-degree criminal mischief.
