From Thursday afternoon:

Vehicle theft — Scott Alexander McGill, 24, of Albany, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, misdemeanor fleeing or attempt to elude a police officer (on foot), possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended. The crimes allegedly occurred on Wednesday.

Vehicle theft — David Ivan Osorio, 49, of Eugene, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. The crime allegedly took place on Wednesday, and the victim was Mid Valley Farms, Inc. Osorio was arrested by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at about 8:14 p.m. on Wednesday.

Vehicle theft — Chester Lee Vance, 40, of Stayton, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. The crime allegedly took place Jan. 11, 2017.


BB gun vandalism — 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, 37500 block of Rock Hill Drive. A caller reported that someone shot at their home with a BB or pellet gun. A deputy responded and observed damage to the home and several vehicles. The case is under investigation.


Vandalism — 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, 500 block of 15th Street. Lamar Lavonne Wilson, 28, was arrested and faces several charges after allegedly scratching several cars. He reportedly struck vehicles with what appeared to be a broom handle. He remains lodged at the Linn County Jail on charges of menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct, possession of methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Vehicle prowl — 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, 300 block of Park Street. A caller reported a vehicle was broken into overnight. Taken were a tri-fold wallet, bank cards, two car phone chargers and fuel.
