Jaimy Theron Patton of Albany passed away peacefully on February 7, 2018, with his loving wife Sarah Castleton by his side. Since his cancer diagnosis in early January, Jaimy was surrounded by his loving family, including his newborn granddaughter, Olivia. The time he was able to spend with his family over the last month was priceless to him.

Jaimy was born in Vallejo, California on January 18, 1962.

He moved with his family to Corvallis in 1972. Jaimy enjoyed an award-winning athletic career throughout his teenage years. He received a scholarship to play football at Oregon State University, where he played as a freshman.

He then served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bogota, Columbia. Following his mission, Jaimy resumed his football career at Utah State University. There, he met his wife Sarah Castleton before graduating and leaving for the Medical College of Wisconsin, and they were married on June 26, 1987, in the Seattle LDS temple.

Upon graduating from medical school and completing a residency in anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Jaimy and Sarah returned to Oregon with their family to build their life here.

Jaimy was a partner at Albany Anesthesia, PC which provides anesthesia services for the Samaritan Albany and Lebanon Hospitals.

Jaimy made many close friends throughout his medical career touching many lives with his compassionate spirit.

Jaimy spent his adult life in service to others. In addition to his medical practice, he volunteered for the Albany InReach Clinic and served numerous medical missions throughout his life. He served in many volunteer positions for the LDS church including Branch President for the Spanish-speaking congregation in Albany.

Jaimy loved to mountain bike, play tennis and travel the world with his wife. Most importantly, Jaimy was a wonderful husband and father who devoted his life to his family.

Jaimy is survived by his wife Sarah; their daughter Kendra (David) Frome and granddaughter Olivia; son Carter, daughter Alexandria, and son Mason. He is also survived by his parents Nephi and Diane (Barker) Patton; siblings Cody Patton, Lance (Terra) Patton and Tammi (Eric) McLaughlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Jaimy Patton will take place at 11 a.m. on February 17, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Albany Stake Center on 2850 Grand Prairie Road SE, Albany.
