Morningstar Grange haunted house

Morningstar Grange, 38794 Morningstar Road N.E., will have a haunted house from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 31 and 7-10 p.m. Oct. 30. Cost is $4 per person or three non-perishable food items. Gleaners Harvest Party

Mid-Valley Gleaners will have its first Harvest Party Bingo Night from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Student Center at South Albany High School.

There will be a 50/50 drawing, bingo and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit local, low-income families.

Halloween show at the library

Adults and children of all ages are invited to go to the Albany Public Library in costume at 7 p.m. tonight for a half-hour program of stories, songs and puppets. Teens in the Library Marionette Troupe will close the program with a Halloween variety show performed with stringed puppets.

Happy Halloween at Timberwood Court Memory Care

Timberwood Court Memory Care will have an afternoon full of tricks and treats beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 2875 14th Ave. S.W. There will be games, snacks, beverages, trick-or-treating and face painting. Costumes are welcome. Admission is canned food. All donations will go to the Linn-Benton Food Share. Eastside Christian Church Harvest Party

Eastside Christian Church, located at 1910 Grand Prairie Road S.E., will have a harvest party from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

All ages are welcome. There will be inflatable bouncers, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, games, facepainting, cake walk, hay rides, lots of candy and more.

There will be a Trunk N’ Treat at South Albany Community Church from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Take the hay ride to all locations.

Cavalry Baptist Harvest Celebration

Cavalry Baptist will have a harvest celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the church, 800 34th Ave. S.E., Albany.

There will be games, candy and prizes.

Trick-or-treat in the North Albany Village from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

House of Fear

House of Fear will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at 1206 Washington St. S.W., Albany. The House of Fear is free. Donations accepted. For more information, call 541-491-3718.

Heritage Mall Safe and Sane Trick-or-Treating

Heritage Mall will again host Safe and Sane Trick-or-Treating store to store and at customer service from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. There will be a walking Frank-O-Stein. Light the Night

Albany’s First Assembly of God will host Light the Night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center, 3700 Knox Butte Road, Albany. There will be lots of carnival-style games and family fun. Admission is free. For more information call 541-926-2291.


American Legion Haunted House

Brownsville Amerincan Legion, located at 339 N. Main St., will have a haunted house for two nights on Oct. 30-31.

The haunted house will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 to 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Admission is $2 each or two cans of food. All donations will be used to support holiday meals for veterans.

Trick-or-treating downtown

Brownsville Downtown Trick or Treat will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 31.

Brownsville businesses will welcome kids and their grown-ups, offering treats and surprises. Look for the big orange pumpkin on the windows of participating businesses.


Handicapped Adult Halloween Party

The Lebanon Elks, located at 4070 S. Santiam Highway, will have a Halloween party of handicapped and developmentally disabled adults from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight.

Lebanon Merchants halloween

Lebanon Merchants offer trick-or-treat for the kids on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 3:20 to 4:30 p.m. downtown and from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. from the plaza to Walmart and Cooperative Way.  

Lebanon Elks Safe Trick-or-Treat

The Lebanon Elks Lodge, located at 633 Park St., will have a Halloween Safe Trick-or-Treat party from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

This will be a party with games. Everyone is welcome.

Halloween at First United Methodist church

Lebanon First United Methodist Church, located at 1890 S. Second St., will host a Halloween party at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Children of the community are invited to attend, accompanied by adults. Snacks and games will precede the children’s indoor trick-or-treating rounds which will take place from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Doors throughout the church will be decorated and a knock on any door will yield a treat. This annual event provides a safe, dry environment for community kids to show off their costumes.

Santiam Valley Grange Haunted House

The Santiam Valley Grange Hall, 1140 Fifth St., Lyons, hosts a haunted house through Nov. 1. The haunted house will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight; from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1; and 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 31. It is appropriate for all ages. Cost is $3 per person or three cans of food.
