Learn how to identify fake and misleading news on the web in a free workshop led by a librarian at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library’s Main Meeting Room, 645 NW Monroe Ave.

Learn strategies for identifying misinformation and disinformation in news media during this interactive workshop. Participants will be able to try the strategies suggested on their own device or a library computer with assistance from a librarian. This workshop is part of a series of workshops called "Digital Life."

Each workshop will have a theme and focus on aspects of our online lives. The final workshops in this series, to be held on March 20 and April 10 also will focus on strategies for dealing with misinformation in online news.
