The city of Lebanon is seeking people to fill five positions on the Lebanon Planning Commission.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. May 22 to the city clerk, 925 S. Main St., or online at email@example.com.
Candidates must reside within the city limits, the urban growth boundary or the Lebanon ZIP code.
The planning commission advises the Lebanon City Council and serves as a quasi-judicial committee. The commission has the authority to make binding decisions regarding land use activities on public and private property. It is governed by the Lebanon Municipal Code, Title 16, and Oregon Revised Statutes 227 and 197.
Members receive no compensation and must file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the State Ethics Commission. The commission normally meets in the evenings on the third Wednesday of each month.

After the current planning commission reviews the applications, the committee chair will provide a written recommendation for the mayor's consideration. Appointments will be determined and applicants notified by June 5. The applicant will be appointed by the mayor at the June 14 meeting of the Lebanon City Council.
Terms for all five positions run until June 30, 2021.
