A man originally from Woodburn who spent jail time in 2012 for first-degree rape and unlawful sexual penetration was back in court Thursday afternoon to face very similar charges.

Jaime Cruz, 28, was arraigned before Judge DeAnn Novotny for third-degree rape, second-degree unlawful sexual penetration and two counts of delivery of a controlled substance to a minor.

At the arraignment, County Prosecutor Jonathon Crow explained that Cruz had been discovered trolling Facebook for underage girls. He asked the court for $50,000 in security. Judge Novotny set the amount at $45,000, and granted Crow's motion to deny Cruz any contact with minor girls or controlled substances, should he post bail.
