Russell Edwin Dahl, 35, of Albany, was arraigned Thursday in Linn County Circuit Court, where he faces 20 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse.

Dahl was convicted in 2014 and spent 10 months in jail for one count of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. These new charges, according to the indictment, involve several alleged underage victims of whom Dahl is accused of collecting and sharing explicit photos or videos. The alleged crimes took place between January 2016 and February 2017, according to the indictment.

Ten of the charges are first-degree sex abuse, or Class B felonies. The other 10 are second-degree crimes, or Class C felonies. If convicted on all the new charges, Dahl faces a potential 150 years in prison.

Judge Carol Bispham granted prosecutor George Eder's request to impose $50,000 security.
