Sunday worship: Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 2650 NW Highland Drive in Corvallis, will share God's Word and Holy Communion both in its sanctuary and via live-stream worship at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Pastor Eric Bohlmann’s sermon theme will be “Soldiers of Grace.”

The congregation continues to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to protect worshipers’ health, and asks people to wear masks. Live-stream worship is accessible at www.svlccorvallis.org and facebook.com/shepherdcorvallis. Communion is offered on the first and third Sundays of each month.

Multi-Gen Bible study follows the worship service at 10:30 a.m., both in church and via Zoom. This week’s study will focus on the Gospel according to Mark, Chapter 8. For access to the Zoom meeting, call the church office at 541-753-2816.

Sunday service: First United Methodist Church, 1165 NW Monroe Ave. in Corvallis, will hold services at 9:30 a.m. in person (masks required) and online at https://www.facebook.com/CorvallisFUMC/live.

Jess Bielman, associate director of Innovation for an Engaged Church Greater Northwest Area, will present "Part II of Innovation and Difference.." This week he will look at "A Disruptive System." How did Jesus use disruption to leverage network structure and dynamics to turn a small act into large change? The presentation is based on Mark 2:18-24.

Baha'i devotions and discussion: “The Master Speaks: Responsibility to Investigate Reality” is set for 10:30 a.m. Sunday in person at 5006 SW Hollyhock Circle in Corvallis, or online.

This November will mark the 100th anniversary of the passing of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, known to Bahá'ís as the Master. Each month this devotional program shares one of his many talks for reflection and discussion. On Aug. 29, 1912, 'Abdu'l-Baha spoke in Boston, and among some of the themes that evening, addressed what it means to independently investigate reality for oneself. Sunday’s program will share sacred writings on the topic followed by prayer and discussion.

All are welcome to participate in fellowship, readings and discussion of seeking truth. Zoom instructions for the meeting and readings can be found on the local Baha'i website: https://linnbenton.local.bahai.us/. Those who need help or have questions can call 541-753-5752.
