Sunday worship: Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 2650 NW Highland Drive in Corvallis, will share God's Word in its sanctuary and via live-stream worship at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Pastor Eric Bohlmann’s sermon theme will be "Family."

The congregation continues to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to protect worshipers’ health, and asks people to wear masks. Live-stream worship is accessible at www.svlccorvallis.org and facebook.com/shepherdcorvallis. Communion is offered on the first and third Sundays of each month.

Multi-Gen Bible study follows the worship service at 10:30 a.m., both in church and via Zoom. This week’s study will focus on the Gospel according to Mark, Chapter 7. For access to the Zoom meeting, call the church office at 541-753-2816.

Sunday service: First United Methodist Church, 1165 NW Monroe Ave. in Corvallis, will hold services at 9:30 a.m. in person (masks required) and online at https://www.facebook.com/CorvallisFUMC/live.

Sermon Title: Innovation and Difference: On A Disruptive Call; Scripture: Matthew 9:9-17

The church welcomes Dr. Leroy Barber, Director of Innovation for an Engaged Church, for the PNW UMC Conference. Dr. Barber will talk about the quote of Jesus, "you cannot put new wine in old wineskins." What are the implications of this scripture and what does our call to Christianity look like based on this truth?

Baha'i devotions and discussion: “Ideal Society” is set for 10:30 a.m. Sunday in person at 5006 SW Hollyhock Circle in Corvallis, or online.

It’s been said that it is easier to know where you’re going if you know where you’ve been. These days, as we continue our advance toward a civilized society, we can ask what the religions of the past have taught us about living in a future community. In this week’s discussion we turn to the sacred texts of the past to consider such lessons as abundance, unity, and justice.

All are welcome to join in readings, prayers and discussion of that which is everlasting, in this world and the next. Zoom instructions for the meeting and readings can be found on the local Baha'i website: https://linnbenton.local.bahai.us/. Those who need help or have questions can call 541-753-5752.
