LBCC women's basketball: Roadrunners smash Clark

Madeline Oakden scored 20 points in Linn-Benton's 67-42 victory over Clark Wednesday night. 

Madeline Oakden led all players with 20 points as the Linn-Benton women’s basketball team opened Northwest Athletic Conference South Division play Wednesday evening with a 67-42 home rout of Clark.

Oakden also tallied four rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Roadrunners (6-7, 1-0). Kelsey Wells added 11 points and 12 rebounds while Breanna Bronson had seven points and 15 boards.

Ashley Sampson paced Clark (0-12, 0-1) with 17 points and six rebounds.

LBCC led 34-16 at the break and outscored the visitors 20-8 in the fourth quarter.

The Roadrunners resume NWAC South action Saturday at Portland Community College.
