Micky Dolenz and Uncle Kracker lead a mix of veteran performers, young up-and-comers and tribute acts that will grace the music stage at this year’s Benton County Fair, which runs Wednesday-Saturday, Aug. 1-4.
Dolenz, who starred in the hit 1960s TV series “The Monkees” and sold more than 65 million records as the drummer with the band of the same name, gets top billing in the Friday night slot. Opening will be Fate 55, a Willamette Valley classic rock band.
Uncle Kracker, a crossover pop singer who scored No. 1 hits in 2000 with “Follow Me” and 2002 with his cover of Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away,” will take the stage on Saturday night following country rocker Trevor Tagle.
Vocal duo Love and Theft, who had a country chart-topper with “Angel Eyes,” will be the opening night headliner on Wednesday. Oregon native Briana Renea opens the show.
Thursday is tribute night, featuring Dreams: The Ultimate Tribute to Fleetwood Mac and Rob Garrett: Neil Diamond — The Tribute.
Concerts are free with paid fair admission, and seating in the outdoor venue is first come, first serve.
