Here's a look at Fresno State, which comes to Gill Coliseum on Friday night for a nonconference game.
The Bulldogs (2-2) are coming off a 71-63 loss Tuesday at Bakersfield.
Fresno State, which went 25-10 last season and made the NCAA tournament, is led in scoring by junior guard Jason Hopkins (15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals). Senior wing Paul Watson adds 14.8 points and 6.3 rebounds.
FSU has three players who have scored more than 20 points this season.
The Beavers and Bulldogs have three common opponents already that each played at home.
Fresno State defeated Texas San Antonio (69-66), lost to Prairie View A&M (84-78) and beat Lamar (83-64). OSU got past Prairie View (78-58) and UTSA (72-64) and lost to Lamar (63-60). FSU plays at Oregon on Dec. 20.
The Bulldogs' head coach is Rodney Terry, in his sixth year in that position.
Terry led Fresno State to the Mountain West Conference tournament title last season and the program's first NCAA berth since 2001. He was previously an assistant at Texas, helping the Longhorns to the NCAA tournament in each of his nine season in Austin.
Terry has also been an assistant under Jerry Wainwright at UNC-Wilmington and Richmond. Wainwright is now the associate head coach on Terry's staff.
