Grindz Food Truck, which opened last winter in Millersburg, offers Hawaiian-style food to go, with plentiful portions and an emphasis on freshness.
Business was going so well that in June, owners Jennifer and Brent Hunter added a mobile food truck, which is scheduled to be parked outside the Grocery Outlet in Albany through much of 2019.
The food truck also enables Grindz to sell its food at festivals and other special events.
The Grindz menu includes shoyu chicken, Kailua pork, as well as Hawaiian tacos, nachos, sliders and Spam musubi.
The Hunters have stressed that their macaroni salad is made every single morning, so the pasta isn’t a rubbery mess.
But in our opinion, the side dish secret weapon for this eatery is the pineapple coleslaw, which has a bit of a spicy kick and uses a yogurt base instead of mayonnaise. In actuality, this isn’t coleslaw. It’s a super-slaw.
