Three open houses have been scheduled to give residents an opportunity to weigh in on potential changes to Albany's land development regulations.
The Albany Development Code Amendments Task Force has been charged by the city council with examining the Albany Development Code, which affects every property in the city.
According to the city, the code was written “many years ago and has evolved over time.”
The task force will influence the design of new buildings and focus on making procedures clearer, building and site design standards, parking requirements and several other development factors.
The first open house will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, in the City Council chambers at the city hall, 333 Broadalbin St. SW. Subsequent sessions will be held on March 4 at 3 and 5:30 p.m. All sessions will include a presentation that reviews residential code concepts.
