ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the construction of the Avery Park Playground Curbing and Surfacing, Project No. 679522 will be received at the City of Corvallis Parks and Recreation Department, 1310 SW Avery Park Drive, Corvallis, OR 97333 until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. The work consists of some or all of the following, at each of five (5) playground locations within Avery Park in Corvallis: new concrete curbing, drain rock, landscape fabric, and Engineered Wood Fiber. The work generally consists of installing concrete curbing, heavy weight landscape fabric, drain rock, and certified Engineered Wood Fiber from Rexius, Lane Forest Products or an approved equal. This project includes removal of two swing sets and a set of bars, and the installation of a two-bay swing set to be provided by the owner. Work area, access area, and tree protection fencing is required in all work areas, amounting to approximately 3,500 linear feet of fencing (to be field verified). The bid documents for this project will be available to download on February 22, 2021 after 11:00 am, from Hard copies will be available for viewing at the mandatory pre-bid meeting. All who are known by the City to have received a complete set of the document will receive notification when additional items are posted through Public Purchase. This is a public works contract subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on March 3, 2021 at 11:00 am, at the Avery Park Thompson Picnic Shelter. Due to COVID-19, masks must be worn and safe physical distance maintained during the site tour. Anyone who has not signed in prior to leaving the picnic shelter for the mandatory tour of work areas will not be eligible to bid the project as this will be considered non-attendance to the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
