CORVALLIS — The Summitt boys and McMinnville girls took the team titles at Saturday’s Rumbaugh Invitational.
Crescent Valley pushed Summit for the girls title, finishing just eight points behind to settle for runner-up. Corvallis finished 11th.
The Raiders did well in the relays with wins in the 200-yard medley (Veronica Twenge, Meredith Wells, Erika Twenge, Allison Wells) and 200 freestyle (E. Twenge, Erin McCown, A. Wells, M. Wells).
Individually, CV’s Erika Twenge won both the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Teammate Allison Wells took first in the 200 freestyle.
For the boys, the Raiders and Spartans finished in a tie for ninth.
The top individual placing for a local swimmer was turned in by Corvallis’ Adrian Van Horsen with fifth in the 500-yard freestyle.
Joe Serewis, also of Corvallis, had a seventh-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
PHILOMATH — The Philomath boys won the Clemens Invitational and the girls took third behind Blanchet Catholic and Taft.
Patrick Williamson won the 200 individual medley for the Warriors in 2:13.03 and Taylor Hagel won the 100 butterfly in 59.42, while the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams won their races.
The only girls winners were Sara Ham, Lauren Hindman, Marisa Browning and Laurel Luke, who were part of the 200 medley relay.
