The West Albany High volleyball team swept a pair of Greater Valley Conference matches at home on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (3-2, 3-2) rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat McMinnville in the opener. Set scores were 25-14, 21-25, 11-25, 25-15, 15-13.

Lindsey Stewart had 15 kills and two blocks, Bailey Backer had 16 assists, Courtney Isom 13 assists, Sydney Backer 28 digs and Taylor Tedrow five blocks against McMinnville.

Against McKay, the Bulldogs swep in three, winning 25-14, 25-18, 25-19.

Bailey Backet had 14 assists and Alexis Chapman seven kills in the sweep. 

The Bulldogs resume GVL action on Thursday by hosting Forest Grove in a 6:30 pm. match.

Lebanon 3, Dallas 1

LEBANON — The Warriors opened Mid-Willamette Conference play by topping the visiting Dragons 25-23, 15-25, 27-25, 25-9 in a see-saw match at LHS. They evened their overall record at 2-2.

Lebanon resumes MWC action at Corvallis on Thursday.

South Albany 3, Woodburn 0

WOODBURN — The Rebels coasted in their Mid-Willamette Conference opener by topping Woodburn  25-16, 25-11, 25-11. They evened their overall record at 1-1.

The Rebels host Central on Thursday in their next MWC match. 

Dayton 3, Santiam Christian 0

DAYTON — Dayton swept Santiam Christian in a West Valley League match at DHS. Set scores were 25-18, 26-24, 25-22.

The Eagles (2-1, 1-1) host Horizon Christian on Thursday in their next match.

Jefferson 3, Colton 0

COLTON — The Lions opened PacWest Conference play in impressive fashion by sweeping the Vikings. Set scores were 25-5, 25-13, 25-17.

Kayla Bruce had 12 assists and 10 digs to lead the Lions (4-0, 1-0). Taylor Campbell added 10 kills and two blocks.

Jefferson hosts PacWest foe Blanchet Catholic at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in its next match.

Scio 3, Colton 0

SCIO — The Loggers had 18 service aces and captured their PacWest Opener to improve to 4-1 overall. Set scores were 25-13, 25-9, 25-12.

Libero Makenna Cooper had five aces, outside hitter Aspen Schudel had eight kills and setter Kelsey Pollard had 14 assists.

The Loggers resume PacWest action at Salem Academy on Thursday.

Central Linn 3, East Linn Christian 0

HALSEY —  The Cobras remained undefeated by sweeping East Linn Christian in their Tri-River Conference opener. Set scores were 25-6, 25-9, 25-5.

Central Linn (3-0, 1-0) resumes league play at Kennedy on Thursday. ELC (0-2, 0-1) hosts Santiam in a league match on Thursday.

Harrisburg 3, Illinois Valley 0

HARRISBURG — The Eagles improved to 6-0 with a convincing 25-7, 25-8, 25-10 sweep of Illinois Valley. They resume nonleague action by hosting Central Linn on Monday.
