Jalen Handy's free throw with 2.9 seconds to play was the difference as West Albany edged North Salem 61-60 in a Greater Valley Conference game at home.
Handy missed his second attempt but the clock expired during the scramble for the rebound and North Salem could not get off a potential game-winning shot.
Oreon Courtney had 19 points, Nick Renyer 12 for West (9-8, 4-6), which resumes GWC action by hosting McNary on Friday.
South Albany 67, Corvallis 50
South Albany upended Corvallis in the Mid-Willamette Conference game at home.
Dyshawn Hobson had 10 points to lead CHS. Jake Costello had 24 points, Jaden Guilford 16 and Seth Cullison 10 for South Albany.
The Rebels (13-4, 6-1) visit Woodburn and the Spartans (6-11, 2-5) travel to Dallas on Friday in MWC games.
Jefferson 42, Scio 37
JEFFERSON — Jefferson outscored Scio 15-10 in overtime to win the PacWest Conference matchup. Regulation ended 27-27 when Jefferson's Danny Aguilar hit a 3-pointer with about 15 seconds to play.
Diego Rodriguez had 10 points to lead Jefferson (12-9, 6-3), which plays at Chemawa on Thursday, Garrett Harrison scored 28 points for Scio (6-13, 3-6), which hosts Colton on Thursday.
Coquille 68, Harrisburg 45
HARRISBURG — Harrisburg dropped the Mountain Valley Conference game to visiting Coquille. The Eagles (3-17, 0-9) resume league play on Thursday by hosting Pleasant Hill.
SALEM — Lexie Stinson had 14 points and Hannah Kelegan and Carley Robb each had 12 points as West Albany routed North Salem 61-24 in a Greater Valley Conference game on the road.
Stinson had four 3s, Robb three and Kerlegan two as the Bulldogs hit 10 for the game.
West (10-8, 6-4) hosts McNary on Thursday in its next GVC game.
Corvallis 53, South Albany 34
CORVALLIS — Katie Mayhue had 24 points but the Rebels fell on the road in the Mid-Willamette Conference game.
South (6-11, 2-5) hosts Woodburn on Friday.
Coquille 34, Harrisburg 20
HARRISBURG — The Eagles fell at home in the Mountain View Conference game. Harrisburg (10-12, 3-4) hosts Pleasant Hill on Thursday.
Jefferson 39, Scio 23
JEFFERSON — Kayla Bruce scored 10 points to lead the Lions to the PacWest Conference victory over Scio. McKenzie Reger had seven points to lead the Loggers.
Jefferson (14-7, 4-5) plays at Chemawa and Scio (3-16, 1-8) hosts Colton on Thursday in PacWest games.
CORVALLIS — Nathaniel Young won two individual races and was part of a winning relay in South Albany’s 137-117 boys Mid-Willamette Conference dual meet loss to Crescent Valley at Osborn Aquatic Center.
Young won the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke to lead the Rebels. Keith Stevens won the 200 free and helped lead the 400 free relay to a win, and Levi Scobel won the 100 butterfly and teamed with Young and Stevens on the winning relay.
The Rebels got second-place finishes from Annie Taylor (50 free) and Chiara Roskelley (100 fly) in a 208-53 loss to the Raiders.
Spartans sweep Lebanon
LEBANON — Corvallis swept a Mid-Willamette Conference dual from Lebanon. The boys won 94.5-75.5, the girls 101-69.
Lebanon boys winners were Casey McEuen (200 free, 100 back) and Tyler Simpson (500 free). Hannan Fillmore (500 free) was Lebanon's lone event winner.
