WOODBURN — Kelsey Palmer's first-half hat trick led Lebanon High to a 3-0 victory over Woodburn on Monday in a Mid-Willamette Conference girls soccer game.
Ana Von Ruden posted her second league shutout, and her third clean sheet overall, for Lebanon (5-4-0, 2-1-0). The Warriors host Central on Wednesday in their next game.
Silverton 4, South Albany 0
SILVERTON — South Albany was blanked in the Mid-Willamette Conference game. The Rebels (2-5-1, 1-1-1) host Corvallis at 7 p.m. Wednesday in their next game.
LEBANON — Woodburn defeated Lebanon 5-0 in the Mid-Willamette Conference contest to hand the Warriors (0-8-1, 0-3-0) their third straight league loss. They play at Central at 4 p.m. Wednesday in their next game.
South Albany 3, Silverton 1
The Rebels got a goal and an assist from Austin Mendoza and Wyatt Marsh and a goal from Oswaldo Ramirez in the Mid-Willamette Conference victory at SAHS.
The Rebels (7-2-1, 1-1-1) led 2-1 at halftime. They outshot Silverton 18-4 but couldn't clinch the win until a last-minute goal.
"We played quite well," South coach Tony Vandermeer said. "We dominated play but had a tough time finishing. Their goalie made a number of great saves."
The Rebels resume MWC action at Corvallis at 6 p.m. Friday.
AMITY — Santiam Christian swept Amity in a West Valley League match. Set scores were 25-20, 25-11, 25-8.
Rebeka Preston had 12 kills, six digs and three blocks and Madison Wobig had nine assists, four digs and three aces to lead SC (16-3, 12-0). Leah Boyer added eight kills and seven digs, Emily Bourne had six kills and Kassie Stanton had seven digs.
SC hosts Taft on Wednesday in its next WVL match.
Central 3, Lebanon 2
LEBANON — Central rallied from a 2-1 deficit to stun the Warriors and snap their five-match winning streak. Set scores were 15-25, 26-24, 16-25, 25-21, 15-12.
The loss dropped the Warriors (11-5, 9-2) one game behind Corvallis in the MWC standings. They resume league play at Silverton on Wednesday.
Corvallis 3, South Albany 0
Corvallis swept host South Albany in Mid-Willamette Conference action to stretch its winning streak to five matches in a row. Set scores were 25-16, 25-15, 25-7.
The Spartans (14-4, 10-1) remained in first place in the MWC. They resume league play at Woodburn on Wednesday.
South Albany (3-13, 2-9) visits Crescent Valley on Wednesday in its next match.
Jefferson 3, Chemewa 0
SALEM — The Lions evened their league mark by sweeping host Chemawa 25-1, 25-7, 25-11 in the PacWest Conference match.
Cassie Aguilar had 10 digs, eight kills and three aces, Madison Montgomery had nine kills and four blocks and Amanda Bruce had seven aces, five digs and four kills for the Lions.
Jefferson (11-7, 5-5) plays host to Gervais at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in another conference match.
