Thurston High defeated South Albany 59-47 on Friday on Day 3 of the South Albany Tournament at SAHS.

The Rebels (6-3) finished the event with a 1-2 record. Their next game is Jan. 2, when they host North Marion in a nonleague test.

Santiam Christian 52, Cascade Christian 48

MEDFORD — Zach Baugher had 16 points to pace the Eagles over Cascade Christian in the semifinals of the Southern Oregon Subaru Christmas Classic at Cascade Christian.

Grant Carley added 12 points for SC. The Eagles (7-1) outscored Cascade Christian 12-8 in the fourth quarter and that was the difference in a physical game.

"We played a pretty solid game," SC coach Dennis McLain said. "They played good defense and that caused some issues for us, but when we executed I thought we played well.

"It was a great game before their home crowd, and a lot of fun."

The Eagles will play 5A Ashland at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Dayton is the other undefeated team, but the Eagles and Pirates won't play in the tournament because they already meet twice during the West Valley League season.

Douglas 67, Harrisburg 51

ELMIRA — The Eagles lost in the Elmira holiday tournament. Harrisburg (2-9) next plays Nestucca on Dec. 28 in the Taft tournament.

Toledo 71, Central Linn 35

JEFFERSON — The Cobras fell to the Boomers in the Jefferson tournament. Central Linn (1-7) opens Tri-River Conference play Jan. 2 at home against St. Paul.

W. Mennonite 76, Jefferson 55

JEFFERSON — Western Mennonite defeated the host Lions in the Jefferson tournament. Jefferson (4-6) resumes action on Dec. 29 against Siletz Valley at the Neah-Kah-Nie Tournament.

Girls basketball

JEFFERSON — Jefferson improved to 7-2 with a 46-20 win against Central Linn on Friday at the Lions' tournament.

Jefferson (7-2) next plays at Siletz Valley on Dec. 29. Central Linn (5-3) hosts St. Paul on Jan. 2 in the Tri-River Conference opener.

Klamath Union 49, Santiam Christian 25

MEDFORD — The Eagles dropped their second of three games at the Cascade Christian tournament. Santiam Christian (1-6) plays another tournament game Saturday.

Elmira 49, Harrisburg 46

ELMIRA  — Elmira topped the Eagles at the Elmira Tournament. Harrisburg (4-7) resumes action on Dec. 28 with a noon game against Nestucca at the Taft Holiday Tournament in Lincoln City.
