LEBANON — Ellie Croco had 29 points and 17 rebounds and the Lebanon High girls basketball team used a strong third quarter to take control in a 60-47 nonconference win over Churchill on Tuesday.
The Warriors (3-0), who had struggled in the third quarter of the first two games, broke a 27-all tie with a 22-10 edge in the period.
Morgan Hopkins added 14 points and nine rebounds and Morgan Workman dished out six assists for the Warriors.
Lebanon is at Wilson on Friday.
Santiam Christian 48, Portland Adventist 45
ADAIR VILLAGE — The Eagles got off to a fast start, pushed tempo and won their first game of the season by handling Portland Adventist in the non-league contest.
Kalli Ropp had 11 points and Audrey Miller and Alyiah Atkins nine each for SC (1-2), which led 22-16 at halftime.
"We came out and played with confidence," SC coach Wendi Farris said. "We sped up the game with pressure and it paid off for us."
SC resumes nonleague play on Friday with Creswell.
Central Linn 41, Waldport 23
WALDPORT — Abby Stutzman had 11 points and Central Linn allowed just five points in the second half to pick up its second win in as many nights.
The Cobras were tied at 18 at the half but used a 12-3 edge in the third to take control.
Central Linn (2-0) is home against Lowell on Friday.
Jefferson 52, Willamina 28
WILLAMINA — Jefferson streaked to its third consecutive victory by 20 or more points with the triumph at Willamina.
Alyssa Guzman had 16 points and Kayla Bruce 11 points for Jefferson, which outscored Willamina 11-2 in the second quarter to take a 23-13 halftime lead. It put the game away by outscoring Willamina 29-15 in the second half.
The Lions (3-0) go for win No. 4 on Thursday when they travel to Lincoln City for a nonleague game against Taft.
