South Albany fell behind early before making a second-half charge in the 71-54 loss to Glencoe at home.
“We played good in the second half,” said South Albany first-year coach Justin Smith.
The Rebels (3-3) outscored Glencoe in the fourth quarter but could not overcome the earlier deficit.
South Albany had three players in double figures. Jaden Guilford led the team with 14 points.
The Bulldogs play West Albany on Tuesday.
Harrisburg 59, Glide 30
Harrisburg jumped out to a quick lead in the Mountain Valley Conference opener for both teams. The Eagles are 3-2 overall.
Joey Knoz led the team with 15 points. Conway Headings added 14 points in the win.
Harrisburg plays Eagle Point on Monday in the opening round of the Southern Oregon Subaru Christmas Classic at Cascade Christian.
