Cal Poly’s Colton Schilling (Sweet Home) went 0-2 in the 141-pound bracket at last week’s NCAA Division I National Championships in Cleveland, Ohio.
Schilling, the 2018 Pac-12 champion at 141, finished his college career with a record of 73-46.
Women’s track and field
Linfield’s Josie Knight (Sweet Home) won the shot put with a top throw of 35 feet, 9¼ inches last weekend at the Rich Allen Classic in Newberg.
Competing for George Fox, Victoria Schroeder (Santiam Christian) finished second in the high jump at 4-11½. Teammate Tahnisha Manibusan (South Albany) was second in the discus (117-4) and fifth in the hammer (104-8).
Corban’s Mackenzie Wilson (East Linn Christian) won the 100 meters (12.7 seconds) and the 200 (26.33) last Thursday in a dual meet with Willamette in Salem. Wilson also helped Corban place first in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
Men’s track and field
Air Force’s Jake LaCoste (West Albany) placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 21-2 last weekend at the Jerry Quiller Classic in Boulder, Colorado.
Western Oregon’s A.J. Holmberg (Scio) finished sixth in the 400 with a time of 51.59 last weekend at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open in Portland.
Teammate Trey Reed (Scio) placed eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:00.29.
George Fox’s Nicholas Armour (Santiam Christian) took sixth in the long jump at 20-2¼ last weekend at the Rich Allen Classic.
Concordia’s Jaxson Daskalos (West Albany) tied for 44th with a 75-73-75—223 this week at The Joust in Jurupa Valley, California.
Competing for Saint Martin’s, Chace Daskalos (West Albany) finished 102nd with a 77-87-85—249.
Kelsey Broadus (West Albany) gave up two runs on four hits with two strikeouts and a walk in three innings Sunday as Boise State rolled to a 15-6 win at Utah State.
Friday, Broadus surrendered one run on two hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks in five innings in an 11-1 victory at Utah State.
Julia Smith-Harrington (West Albany) allowed four runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 2⅔ innings Sunday in Towson’s 10-4 loss to UNC Greensboro.
Saturday, Smith-Harrington struck out seven with no walks in five shutout innings in an 11-0 victory over Canisius.
Both games were part of the Spartan Classic in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Cheyanne Rimer (Scio) went 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored Sunday in Western Oregon’s 7-1 home loss to Central Washington in Monmouth.
Saturday, Rimer went a combined 1 for 7 with a solo home run in a home split with Saint Martin’s.
Kaylee Buhrkuhl (Santiam Christian) went a combined 3 for 6 with a double and four RBIs Monday as Corban swept a home doubleheader with Simpson in Salem.
Friday, Buhrkuhl went a combined 4 for 7 with a double, three RBIs and four runs scored in a home sweep of Northwest Christian.
Last Thursday, Buhrkuhl went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored in a 6-0 victory over visiting Northwest Christian.
Emily Marchbanks (Sweet Home) allowed four runs (one earned) on five hits with five strikeouts and a walk Saturday in Newberry’s 11-4 victory over Carson-Newman in Newberry, South Carolina.
Hannah Yelas (Santiam Christian) went a combined 2 for 5 with an RBI and pitched six innings Sunday as Northwest dropped both legs of a road doubleheader with Southern Oregon in Ashland.
Friday, Yelas pitched a complete game and went 1 for 3 at the plate in a 5-1 loss at Southern Oregon.
Nicole Whitney (Santiam Christian) went a combined 1 for 5 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored Saturday as San Diego Christian was swept by Menlo in a doubleheader at Atherton, California.

Saturday, Crosby was charged for three runs on five hits in one inning of relief in a 6-5 loss at Pacific Lutheran in Parkland, Washington.
