Cal Poly’s Colton Schilling (Sweet Home) placed eighth in the 141-pound bracket at last weekend’s Midland Championships in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Men’s basketball

Nate Sherwood (West Albany) had six points, five rebounds and a steal Sunday in Idaho’s 81-77 loss at Northern Colorado. Teammate Chad Sherwood (West Albany) added two points.

Last Thursday, Nate Sherwood had eight points, three rebounds and two assists and Chad Sherwood nine points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in a 74-59 victory at North Dakota.

Cooper Getsfrid (West Albany) had 12 points, two rebounds, two steals and a block Saturday in Linn-Benton’s 77-72 loss to Peninsula.

Friday, Getsfrid had 18 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and an assist in a 90-89 victory over Yakima Valley.

Last Thursday, he had 14 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal in a 91-61 thumping of South Puget Sound.

All games were part of the Clackamas Holiday Showcase in Oregon City.

Women’s basketball

Corey James (West Albany) had eight points, eight rebounds and three assists Saturday in Portland State’s 74-73 home victory over Sacramento State.

Ali Nelke (West Albany) had six points and four rebounds Saturday in Western Oregon’s 94-67 loss at Northwest Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho.

Maci Bozett (Lebanon) had nine points, four assists, three rebounds and a steal Saturday in Corban’s 70-65 victory over Evergreen State in Salem.

Friday, Bozett had seven points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals in an 82-70 home loss to Northwest.

Katie Skipworth (Lebanon) had a team-high 20 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals Saturday in Skagit Valley’s 64-51 loss to South Puget Sound.

Friday, Skipworth had 12 points, 10 assists, two rebounds and a steal in an 83-62 loss to Grays Harbor.

Last Thursday, she had 19 points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist in a 79-64 loss to Big Bend.

All games were part of the Skagit Holiday Tournament in Mount Vernon, Washington.
