Women’s basketball

Paige Graham (Scio) had 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block Saturday in Linfield’s 68-52 home victory over Puget Sound in McMinnville.

Friday, Graham had five points, two rebounds and a steal in an 84-75 loss at Lewis & Clark in Portland.


Corey James (West Albany) had three points, two rebounds and two steals Saturday in Portland State’s 69-53 loss at Montana.

Last Thursday, James had two points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal in a 69-60 victory at Montana State.


Ali Nelke (West Albany) had four points, seven rebounds, an assist and a steal Tuesday in Western Oregon’s 68-51 victory over Concordia in Monmouth. 

Saturday, Nelke had three points, three rebounds and two assists in a 74-54 victory at Alaska Fairbanks.

Last Thursday, she had three rebounds in an 85-53 loss at Alaska Anchorage.


Katie Skipworth (Lebanon) had 12 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals Saturday in Skagit Valley’s 75-56 home loss to Bellevue in Mount Vernon, Washington.

Last Wednesday, Skipworth had seven points, three assists, two steals and a rebound in a 64-57 home win over Olympic.

Men’s basketball

Nate Sherwood (West Albany) had four points, four rebounds and a steal Friday in Idaho’s 58-51 victory at Eastern Washington. Teammate Chad Sherwood (West Albany) added three points, two rebounds and an assist.


Cooper Getsfrid (West Albany) had nine points, three rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block Saturday in Linn-Benton’s 82-79 home victory over Chemeketa.

Last Wednesday, Getsfrid had five points and five rebounds in a 74-65 loss at Umpqua in Roseburg.

Women’s swimming

Maddy Kelly (Lebanon) won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 58.9 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (59.91) Saturday as College of Idaho earned a 121-98 dual victory over Pacific in Forest Grove.

Friday, Kelly won the 200 butterfly (2:14.04) and 100 butterfly (59.64) in a 127-123 dual victory against Willamette in Salem.

Piper Engler (Lebanon), competing for Southwestern Oregon Community College, won the 100 backstroke (1:02.64) and finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:07.52) Saturday in a meet at Forest Grove.

Men’s indoor track and field

Idaho’s Zachary Short (Lebanon) was named the Big Sky Conference men’s field athlete of the week after winning the shot put with a personal-record throw of 58 feet, 9¼ inches at last weekend’s Vandal Invitational in Moscow, Idaho. Short also placed seventh in the weight throw at 48-2¾.


Jake LaCoste (West Albany), competing for Air Force, finished seventh in the high jump (6-3¼) and 11th in the triple jump (43-5¾) last weekend at the Potts Invitational in Boulder, Colorado.


A.J. Holmberg (Scio), competing for Western Oregon, finished fifth in the 600 meters with a time of 1 minute, 20.56 seconds Saturday at the Washington Indoor Preview in Seattle.

Women’s indoor track and field

Linfield’s Josie Knight (Sweet Home) placed 10th in the shot put with a top throw of 34-5½ last weekend at the Vandal Invitational.
