Nate Sherwood (West Albany) had 23 points, four rebounds and an assist Friday in Idaho’s 66-64 home win over Eastern Washington. Teammate Chad Sherwood (West Albany) added six points, a rebound and a steal.


Cooper Getsfrid (West Albany) had five points and five rebounds Saturday in Linn-Benton’s 82-73 loss at Clark in Vancouver, Washington.

On Feb. 7, Getsfrid had 16 points, five rebounds and two blocks in an 85-71 home loss to Umpqua.

Women’s basketball

Corey James (West Albany) had four rebounds, an assist and a steal Saturday in Portland State’s 62-53 victory over visiting Montana State.

Last Thursday, James had eight points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 70-53 home win over Montana.


Ali Nelke (West Albany) had two points, a rebound and an assist Saturday in Western Oregon’s 86-78 home loss to Alaska Anchorage in Monmouth.

Last Thursday, Nelke had eight points, four rebounds and an assist in a 76-49 home win over Alaska Fairbanks.


Paige Graham (Scio) had 13 points and seven rebounds Saturday in Linfield’s 75-67 home loss to Lewis & Clark in McMinnville.

Friday, Graham had nine points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal in a 65-61 loss at Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.


Maci Bozett (Lebanon) had 23 points, a rebound, an assist and a steal Sunday in Corban’s 75-66 loss at Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls.

Saturday, Bozett had three points, eight assists and two steals in an 86-65 loss at Southern Oregon in Ashland.


Katie Skipworth (Lebanon) had nine points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals Saturday in Skagit Valley’s 63-52 victory at Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington.

Last Wednesday, Skipworth had four points and two steals in a 61-57 road win at Olympic in Bremerton, Washington.

Women’s swimming

Maddy Kelly (Lebanon) won the 100-yard backstroke (1 minute, 1.18 seconds) and placed third in the 100 butterfly (59.92) Saturday as College of Idaho suffered a 110-50 dual meet loss at Idaho.


Cal Poly’s Colton Schilling (Sweet Home) won by fall in 3 minutes, 37 seconds over Nikko Villareal at 141 pounds in Sunday’s Pac-12 home dual with Arizona State. The Sun Devils defeated the Mustangs, 38-9.

At 133, ASU’s Ali Naser earned a 21-9 major decision over Cal Poly’s Ty Schilling (Sweet Home).


Providence’s Adrian Lyons-Lopez (South Albany) dropped a 4-3 decision to Montana State-Northern’s Chris Nile at 174 in a Feb. 7 dual in Havre, Montana. Montana State-Northern took the meet, 27-15.


Southern Oregon’s Scottie Stockman (Sweet Home) registered a technical fall of Simpson’s Ben Gacayan in 3:40 (17-0) last Wednesday as the Raiders cruised to a 41-3 dual meet victory in Ashland.

Women’s indoor track and field

Western Oregon’s Nicole Niskanen (South Albany) placed 36th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.41 at Monday’s UW Open in Seattle.


George Fox’s Victoria Schroeder (Santiam Christian) placed 13th in the high jump at 4 feet, 7¾ inches during Saturday’s Boise State Challenge.

Men’s indoor track and field

Idaho’s Zack Short (Lebanon) won the shot put with a personal-record throw of 59-1¼ at the UW Open.


Air Force’s Jake LaCoste (West Albany) placed 13th in the long jump with a top mark of 22-0¼ Saturday at the Texas Tech Shootout in Lubbock, Texas.


Nicholas Armour (Santiam Christian), competing for George Fox, tied for 15th in the long jump (19-8¾) and placed 27th in the 60 (7.64) at the Boise State Challenge.


Logan Nousen (Harrisburg) allowed nine runs (six earned) on seven hits in 2⅓ innings Sunday as Oregon Tech suffered an 11-3 loss to Antelope Valley in Lancaster, California.


Darren Crosby (Santiam Christian) allowed two runs on five hits in 3⅓  innings of relief Friday in Whitworth’s 11-9 loss at George Fox in Newberg.

Josh Gerig (East Linn Christian) was a combined 1 for 6 with one RBI, two walks and three runs scored on Feb. 7 as Howard Payne swept a doubleheader with Schreiner in Brownwood, Texas.


Alex Pynes (West Albany) went 0 for 1 Friday in Shasta’s 11-2 home loss to Skyline in Redding, California.

Last Thursday, Pynes went 0 for 1 in a 9-4 home loss to Skyline.


Julia Smith-Harrington (West Albany) was 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored Saturday in Towson’s 19-3, five-inning victory over North Carolina A&T.

Friday, Smith-Harrington gave up three runs on five hits with five strikeouts in five innings in a 6-4 victory over North Carolina A&T.

Both games were part of the Charleston Southern Tournament in South Carolina.


Kelsey Broadus (West Albany) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits in four innings of work Friday in Boise State’s 7-6 loss to Indiana.

Last Thursday, Broadus was touched for two runs on two hits in two innings in an 11-3 win over South Dakota.

Both games were part of the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Arizona.


Cheyanne Rimer (Scio) was a combined 3 for 11 with two RBIs, a walk and three runs scored last weekend as Western Oregon went 3-1 at the West Texas A&M Lady Buff Invite in Canyon, Texas.


Hannah Yelas (Santiam Christian) went the distance and allowed one run on five hits with no walks and seven strikeouts Saturday in Northwest’s 4-1 victory at Puget Sound.


Emily Marchbaks (Sweet Home) allowed five runs (zero earned) on four hits in six innings Friday as six errors doomed Newberry in a 5-1 home loss to George College in Newberry, South Carolina.


Nicole Whitney (Santiam Christian) was a combined 3 for 9 with three RBIs, a walk and two runs scored last weekend as San Diego Christian went 2-2 at the So Cal NAIA College Classic in West Covina, California.
