Corban senior outside hitter Amber Parker (West Albany) was named a second-team NAIA All-American on Tuesday after helping lead the Warriors to their first NAIA championship quarterfinal appearance in school history.
Parker recorded a team-high 485 kills as a senior to earn her third All-America nod.
Friday, Parker had six kills and six digs in a straight-sets quarterfinal loss to Lindsey Wilson in Sioux City, Iowa. Haley Wells (West Albany) had 12 digs and an assist, Marandah Boeder (West Albany) six kills, two digs, a stuff block and a block assist and Madison Milligan (Santiam Christian) 17 assists, six digs and an ace.
Earlier Friday, Parker had 19 kills, 25 digs, four block assists, a stuff block, an ace and an assist; Wells 27 digs, an ace and an assist; Boeder 10 kills, four block assists and three digs; and Milligan 36 assists and 16 digs in a five-set victory over Grand View in the round of 16.
Maddy Gravley (Santiam Christian) had four block assists, three kills and a dig Friday in Oregon State’s 3-2 loss to North Carolina State in the opening round of the NCAA tournament in Austin, Texas.
John Bates (Lebanon) had one catch for 17 yards Saturday in Boise State’s 17-14 win over Fresno State in the Mountain West Conference championship game.
Nate Sherwood (West Albany) had 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals Sunday in Idaho’s 79-68 victory at Nicholls.
Teammate Chad Sherwood (West Albany) added nine points, three assists, a rebound and a steal.
Cooper Getsfrid (West Albany) had 18 points and four rebounds last Wednesday in Linn-Benton’s 101-82 win over the Pacific JV in Forest Grove.
Maci Bozett (Lebanon) had 19 points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist Sunday in Corban’s 67-49 victory at Walla Walla in College Place, Washington.
Saturday, Bozett had 19 points, four assists and four rebounds in a 76-38 win at Walla Walla.
Paige Graham (Scio) had four points and four rebounds Saturday in Linfield’s 70-65 victory at Pacific.
Friday, Graham had seven points, three assists, two steals and two rebounds in an 83-75 home loss to George Fox in McMinnville.
Cal Poly’s Colton Schilling (Sweet Home) went 3-2 in the 141-pound bracket at last weekend’s Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.
Teammate Ty Schilling (Sweet Home) finished 0-2 at 133 pounds.
Providence’s Adrian Lyons-Lopez (South Albany) placed fifth in the 174-pound bracket at Saturday’s Heritage Inn Open in Great Falls, Montana.
Friday, Lyons-Lopez went 4-0 at the Battle of the Rockies Duals in Great Falls, Montana.
