Men’s golf

Northwest Christian’s Josh Goins (Lebanon) was the runner-up at this week’s Cascade Collegiate Conference championships with a three-round score of 78-77-75—230 in Bend. Goins, the tournament’s two-time defending champion, was named CCC player of the year after the event.

Concordia’s Jaxson Daskalos (West Albany) placed ninth with a three-round score of 76-73-69—218 this week at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championships in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Competing for Saint Martin’s, Chace Daskalos (West Albany) finished 27th with a 78-82-74—234.

Women’s track and field

Mackenzie Wilson (East Linn Christian) won the 200 meters (25.5 seconds), placed fourth in the 400 (59.36) and ran a leg on Corban’s first-place 4X100 relay team that finished in 48.56 Saturday at the Clackamas Invitational in Canby.

Teammate Sydney Nichol (East Linn Christian) won the 1,500 (4:50.59) and placed eighth in the 800 (2:24.67).

Competing for Clackamas, McKenna Tanselli (Lebanon) finished eighth in the 5,000 with a time of 20:39.54.

George Fox’s Tahnisha Manibusan (South Albany) placed third in the discus (125 feet, 3 inches) and 10th in the hammer (112-6) last week at the Northwest Conference championships in McMinnville.

Teammate Victoria Schroeder (Santiam Christian) finished third in the high jump at 5-3¼.

Competing for Linfield, Josie Knight (Sweet Home) was 14th in the shot put at 34-10½.

Oregon Tech’s Allison Young (West Albany) placed sixth in the heptathlon with 3,650 points last week at the Cascade Collegiate Conference multi-event championships in Ashland.

Men’s track and field

Air Force’s Jake LaCoste (West Albany) finished 25th in the high jump at 6-6¾ last week at the Beach Invitational in Long Beach, California.

Western Oregon’s A.J. Holmberg (Scio) placed 27th in the 800 with a time of 1:51.39 last week at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California.

Oregon Tech’s Alexander Turkins (South Albany) took third in the hammer (145-10), sixth in the discus (128-09) and 15th in the shot put (35-01) last week at the Raider Invitational in Ashland.

Teammate Josiah Stroup (Lebanon) finished 12th in the 200 (22.49) and 16th in the 100 (11.32).

Softball

Kelsey Broadus (West Albany) allowed two unearned runs in three scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts and three walks Saturday in Boise State’s 10-6 victory at Nevada. Broadus picked up her 10th victory of the season.

Cheyanne Rimer (Scio) went a combined 2 for 8 with two RBIs and a run scored Sunday as Western Oregon split a home doubleheader with Montana State Billings in Monmouth.

Saturday, Rimer went a combined 3 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in another home split with Montana State Billings.

Kaylee Buhrkuhl (Santiam Christian) went a combined 2 for 4 with two walks, a sacrifice and a stolen base Saturday in Corban’s doubleheader home sweep of Eastern Oregon in Salem.

Friday, she was a combined 0 for 8 with a walk in two home wins against Eastern Oregon.

Emily Marchbanks (Sweet Home) pitched three innings of scoreless, hitless relief to get the save Saturday in Newberry’s 4-3 victory at Anderson in Anderson, South Carolina.

Hannah Yelas (Santiam Christian) allowed one hit in 1⅔ scoreless innings and got the victory Saturday in Northwest’s 6-5 win in nine innings at British Columbia in Surrey.

She was 0 for 1 at the plate in the first game of the day, a 3-1 loss.

Friday, Yelas allowed 12 hits and five earned runs in six innings and took the defeat in a 6-0 loss at British Columbia.

Renel Koker (Lebanon) went a combined 2 for 4 with two walks and three runs scored Wednesday as Clackamas swept a road doubleheader with Grays Harbor in Aberdeen, Washington.

Monday, Koker went 1 for 2 with an RBI in an 18-1 loss at North Idaho in Coeur d'Alene.

Saturday, she went 1 for 4 with an RBI in an 8-6 loss at Treasure Valley in Ontario.

Kennedy Jantzi (West Albany) went a combined 1 for 4 with two walks and two runs scored Tuesday as Mt. Hood swept a home doubleheader with Chemeketa in Gresham.

Sunday, Janzti went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs in a 10-3 home victory over Treasure Valley.

Thursday, she went a combined 3 for 8 with two more homers in a sweep of Clark in Vancouver, Washington.

Baseball

Logan Nousen (Harrisburg) allowed one run on three hits in 1⅓ innings of relief Monday in Oregon Tech’s 10-0 home loss to Lewis-Clark State in Klamath Falls.

Sunday, Nousen took the loss after giving up four runs on four hits in 2⅓ as Lewis-Clark State earned a 16-14 victory.
