Kevin Reilly pitched seven shutout innings and Linn-Benton Community College scored single runs in four innings to open Saturday’s Northwest Athletic Conference South Region basbeall doubleheader against Clark with a 4-0 win.
Reilly allowed four hits and struck out seven while Damon Peters doubled and tripled and Cole Hamilton had two hits and two RBIs in the opener.
The Roadrunners made it yet another five-game series sweep with a 10-4 victory in the nightcap, to push their win streak to 25.
Clark scored two in the top of the first but LB immediately responded with four in the bottom of the first and six more in the second to take control.
Cole Carder had three hits while Peters, Fridtjof Fremstad and Richard Mascarenas all added two hits. Fremstad and Evan Cyrus delivered two RBIs each.
Peters, Carder, Mascarenas and Fremstad each scored twice.
LB (37-2, 24-1) heads to Lane on Tuesday for a single game.
