As the investigation into the Trump campaign’s collaboration, or perhaps conspiracy, with Russia unfolds on its many stages, one has to ask a simple question: If there is nothing to hide, then why is the administration and those around it lying, obfuscating, and distracting? Wouldn’t an innocent person want to cooperate and put the issue to bed?
Trump has no intention, and never did, of releasing his tax returns because the truth, or at least the motivation, for his coziness with Russia, is in the money trail. Why hasn’t he initiated the most recent congressional mandated sanctions against Russia? Why is Trump’s little lackey Devin Nunes spearheading an attempt to discredit the Justice Department? Why are so many Republican representatives circling the wagons to protect Trump while many others are looking for the door at the end of their current terms?
Isn’t it time to admit, regardless of political affiliations, that we have a crook in the Oval Office and removing him is not only the sensible thing to do, it is the patriotic thing to do?
Trump’s idea of making America great again is further enriching himself and his cronies at the expense of the prosperity and security of the American people.
He is the kind of man who would push aside the women and children in his rush to the lifeboats, and it is time to recognize him for what he is — a coward and a fraud.
